October 23, 2007
Well it’s been 20 days since somebody has posted … so i will be the one to break to fast.
As I was sitting down in front of my computer five minutes ago, at 12:30 on October 23, 2007, I had this horrible feeling in my stomach. And it wasn’t from eating a value menu crispy chicken sandwich, a small chili, and 1 1/2 junior bacon cheeseburgers from Wendy’s this afternoon. It wasn’t from drinking a soda everyday this month with seems to be giving me some kind of acid reflux disease. No, it was a pain that comes from being stuck. Stuck in Life. Going through the same routine day in and day out, month in and month out. And It’s not a good routine. For the second time this semester I have a Government test to do online, it is due tomorrow at noon, and I haven’t opened the book since I took the last test a month ago. I feel like i’m setting a record for not reading the bible. I’m not sure how to pray, or I don’t know if I can, because it feels like God is far away. I’m always procrastinating. Can’t start a “diet”. can’t seem to save money. Can’t do anything good for more than 2 days in a row. blah blah blah. Basically, I’m Parked. I’ve been parked in the same spot for a while.
The worst part about it is that I’m in a “No Parking” Zone. God hasn’t called us to get saved, grow in him, get a place where we feel comfortable, and then park our cars. No, He has called us to “Throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” (Hebrews 12:1 b). If you are a Christ Follower you should never be parked, not even pulled off to the side of the road, just keep driving, growing, learning, and sharing.
I’m going to go turn on the car, put it in gear, and drive off like I’m being chased by the PoPos. (aka read the bible…specifically Galatians).
on a side note. I got a parking ticket in Memphis, Tennessee while I was visiting Ben Killerlain. RIDICULOUS.

definitely be praying for you. When you’re done with Galatians try Ephesians. Phil 3:10-14
